I've seen these used at a store like PetsMart to transport two exotic cats and I've seen someone with a really fat pug. My question is why it would be necessay to take these animals anywhere if they were unable to travel themselves. If a pet was old, arthritic, ill, etc., I don't think it enjoys going out among strange people and animals. The same thing if pets were scared or unruly: I don't think it would be best to take them like that. They would probably stay at home. The only time I would think it would benefit is if a dog was truly unable to walk a long distance but it was a long distance to go to a part, for instance, I could see you pushing it in a stroller to the park and then let it out to get a little outside exercise. It's cute but many times, unnecessary.
