For years I used a kitchen salad scale, to weigh my pups, It worked ok but I wanted more accuracy than this gave me. I hopped on Ebay and put in scales and postal scales was one of the choices that came up! It was perfect. It's in my price range ($20) and gives me the accuracy that I desire. This is perfect for toy breeders.
I can even weight my adult Poms on it. I just sit them on the top, tell them to stay, push the hold button (this remembers the weight) and remove my dog and record the numbers.
With the pups, weighting them insures that they are gaining weight properly and through years of tracking weights of my pups, I'm getting a more accurate guess of their adult weight.
