Would work in some cases

I received the booties in the mail and decided to see how they would work on Alarm. He is Mr. Hyper and if they would stay on his feet, then that was a good thing. Well, they did. They fit well and stayed on. He did do the high prance walk for a bit, then was like okay fine. However, I could see some dogs not liking them and one good hold with teeth and they would be destroyed. But if you use distractions when they are wearing the booties, you can get them to be okay with them.

Then I got to think about why I would use these or why folks should use these and here is what I came up with.

We had a couple of our dogs who split their nail and it was way back exposing the nerve and meat of the nail. Was told to keep it clean and dry. Yet, could not keep vet wrap on their foot. The bootie would have worked on the clean and dry as long as it was not raining out. So I see a big use with medical on the feet.

We had one of our dogs who liked to lick the pads of her paw causing a sore. Again, the bootie would have helped with that.

As for outside, I could see if you have a dog whose pads are thin and tender, the booties might help with that. We had a dog at the shelter whose pads were like that. To give a little extra cushion would have given comfort to walk on the hard floor and gravel.

As for outside, walking in fields to keep the burrs out of the paws.

Other than that, I can not think of much more other than what the company stated.

I think I will be keeping a set on hand for the medical reasons I stated.

Overall, well made for disposable and fit great.
