Pros: Helps you laugh at situations you have also experienced.
Cons: Book doesn't have to go all the way to old age.

I found myself laughing out loud at many parts of the book. The part where Marley is tied to a cafe table they are at and a poodle walks by. Off goes the table. So true.
However, once Marley started getting old, I had no problem just putting the book down. We face enough of dogs' aging that I really did not want to read about it.
