Pros: Helps keep dogs cooler, reflects sun away from them, allows air circulation
Cons: Doesn't reflect *all* the sunshine

This cover is made up of thousands of tiny tinsel-like strands patched loosely together in a blanket. There is room between each strand for airflow and some light to get through. I was really impressed because you can throw it over a crate, it protects from the sun but at the same time allows air to circulate so your dog won't be sweltering underneath!
