This is a great book, telling the true story of Balto, in a kid-friendly way. The author does not treat kids as "stupid" by dumbing-down the story, it is just told through understandable language.
The story has excitement, daring, courage, and DOGS!! I truly like the book better than any of the movie versions I've seen.
