The Real Storey

Yes, the spelling in the headline for this blog is correct. I met dozens of enthusiastic cat and dog lovers in the courtyard at Storey Publishing on Saturday in North Adams, Massachusetts. To celebrate its 25th anniversary in the publishing world, Storey invited a couple dozen authors - myself included - to this shindig that included witnessing sheep shearing, llamas with attitudes, country line dancing and mini-sessions on how to prune lilacs, cultivate compost and learn a bit more about cats and dogs. I gave three talks on this sunny Saturday and then signed dozens of books.

I invite you to visit Storey’s website: www.storey.com and sniff around its various book title offerings. This is a small but mighty publishing house and I am happy to be part of its stable of authors. During the event, we teamed up with Diane and her volunteer group from the Berkshire Humane Society and I am happy to report that the two dogs up for adoption - Peter and Luna - both earned loving homes that day!

Storey is hosting my second consecutive national book tour - this time for the release of “Happy Dog, Happy You” and “Happy Cat, Happy You.” I’m on the road, making 23 stops in 10 states over a six-week span. Check out my Tour schedule on my home page to see if you live near one of my stops. I promise to “edu-tain” you about our favorite four-leggers and we are offering cool prizes, too!
