Booksmart in Bo-WOW!

Love this pet-loving crowd!

Stop #4 on my 22-stop national book tour landed me in Morgan Hill, Calif. at a unique place called Booksmart. Store manager Cinda and her staff, Sam and Lauren, made me feel very welcomed with their displays and oodles of my books available for autographing. Locals came out and we spend over an hour talking about how to get a little dog from submissive peeing when meeting houseguests, discovering a unique breed - a Harrier named Cooper, and coming up with ideas to keep a Golden Retriever from blanketing the house with shed hair.

This was my first visit to Morgan Hill, located just outside of San Jose and just north of Gilroy - the garlic capitol of the world. Yes, we stopped at one of those souvenir stores in Gilroy and bought some “odiferous” souvenirs (now tightly sealed in bags to prevent our SUV from smelling like garlic!).

Chipper and Cleo are loving this road trip and getting the chance to sniff and see new surroundings. My sister and I dined at the very best Thai restaurant I’ve ever visited - Siam Thai in Morgan Hill. If you are near that city and love Thai food, your tastebuds will be in for a delight!
