Protex-3, 25 x 1 SKU: 007ITV02-1 [printable] Intervet Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia Vaccine Modified Live Virus For Use In Cats Only : Protex-3 is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of feline rhinotracheitis virus, calicivirus and panleukopenia virus grown in the Pro-Cell Stable Cell Line. Protex-3 is presented in a desiccated, single dose form with sterile diluent provided for reconstitution. Indications: Protex-3 is for vaccination of healthy cats against feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus and feline panleukopenia. Safety and Efficacy: The safety and efficacy of Protex-3 have been demonstrated to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the U.S.D.A. Field safety trials conducted in kittens as young as 6 weeks of age demonstrated Protex-3 was virtually reaction-free. Directions for Use: Aseptically reconstitute the desiccated vaccine vial with the sterile diluent provided and administer 1 ml by subcutaneous or intramuscular route. Vaccinate healthy cats 8 weeks of age or older with two doses 3-4 weeks apart. Cats less than 12 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 3-4 week intervals until 12-16 weeks of age. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended. Precautions: 1. Recommended storage temperature 35-45°F (2-7°C). 2. Shake well before use. 3. Use contents promptly once reconstituted. 4. Non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes should be used for administration of vaccine. 5. Do not vaccinate pregnant queens. 6. Administration of epinephrine may be indicated in the event of an anaphylactic reaction. 7. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. 8. Burn this container and all unused contents. 9. Only healthy animals should be vaccinated. Animals incubating any disease, or animals stressed due to shipping, malnutrition or parasitism may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response. 10.
