This grass does grow and my cat really seemed to enjoy it. It doesn't stay in the dirt well enough for the cat to eat the ends without pulling out the whole piece and making a bit of a mess. Maybe I need to pack the dirt more, not sure, but it is worth a try, my kitty did like it...
