There's been a long running joke that dogs will eat anything coated with bacon, peanut butter or - well, just about anything, while the cat will fight tooth and nail to not take one teensy weensy itty bitty pill. I have cats like that! I tried pill guns, compounding pills to liquids (with many different flavors) coating with butter, crushing them to a powder and mixing them in the wet food...well, you get the idea.

Many scratches and multiple refills later, I tried the pill pockets. Now, it isn't fool proof and there are those kits who will be foxier than anticipated, but for the most part, I've had alot of success pilling my cats with the pill pockets. It's malleable enough that you can literally put the pill in the center and smush the pill pocket around it. For the feline who loves treats, this little pill pocket is a GOD SEND! I've seen two flavors: Chicken and Salmon. I LOVE THESE THINGS!!

I have also tried everything to get my cat to take a pill including begging, crying and pleading. I did try these pill pockets and unfortunately my finicky feline was having not of it... He sniffed and said no way lady! I think they are kind of big for finicky cats like mine, but for the kitty who adores treats and will eat them - this is great.
