Pros: My Cats Love It -- Especially the Cats Who Were Formerly Indoor Only
Cons: It's not cheap!
I bought 300 feet of this fence in an attempt to pacify my one free-range cat who previously had the run of my 4 acres and then some. I was constantly stressing out about the road -- Big Kitten was constantly getting in cat fights and we also have coyotes in the area. As expected, he's not at all pleased with the fencing, and as soon as I can afford more, I'm going to try to expand the fenced area. Currently, he spends a good portion of his outside time, just pacing the fence line, looking for holes or sitting on the porch. But, for the two cats who were formerly indoor only -- they LOVE it. And, it's great to see them have the pleasure of getting outside.
The fencing is as advertised -- very secure -- I can't honestly see how any cat could escape. One of Big Kitten's "friends" came calling the other day and, though there was a lot of noise and carrying-on, neither cat could cross the fence.
I don't think the fencing is quite as easy to set up as I anticipated -- it's not really difficult, but it is labor intensive. And, I'm also not sure how portable it really is -- I guess I'll find that out when I attempt to expand it!
But, all in all, though it's really quite an expensive product, I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to let their cats outside without worrying about their safety.
