Review Details
This is actually a clever bird-shaped toy that contains a pouch for inserting catnip and has a battery-operated bird chirping sound. I'm not sure if the battery is low and therefore the sounds are inconsistent or if the chirping sound is intermittent and the battery okay, but the sound comes and goes. The pouch for the catnip could be bigger since trying to insert catnip in the small opening makes it gather around the velcro seam, but the pouch is a good idea. This toy definitely got a couple of my cats' attention and I can still hear one of them playing with it about 1 1/2 hours after first giving it to him. The toy also comes with extra batteries, which is nice. The toy supposedly comes with organic catnip, but I'm not sure where it is--I inserted some that I already had.

CORRECTION: This does NOT come with extra batteries; I was confusing it with the laser mouse that I bought at the same time (and they come in similar packaging).
UPDATE: My adult cats really DO like this Chickadee Chirp. I can hear one of them playing with it at various times of the day; the sound it makes is life-like (at least for an indoor cat).
