I use this because it is rich in Essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids commonly deficient in pet foods but oh so important. The flax and essential fatty acids are important for growth and development, beautiful fur, bone strength, and immunity. It also increases milk in lactating animals and improves dry, flaky skin and inflammatory conditions. Great for humans too, I buy the same brand for me.

I know you said the pet variety is hard to find. I order it directly from Barleans at www.barleans.com They make it only as you order it and it comes very quickly. You can get the human version there also, as well as all their other products.
