Pros: great for keep cat from clawing everything, came with a toy
Cons: cat doesn't take to it all the time
well i guess i have one of the very few cats in the world that ignores a cat post. of course my cat post came with a springy toy on top so that it attracts my cat's attention, a kind of lure i suppose. :) the toy part came off so i just replaced some feathers on top of it so the attraction is still there. she does go to it every once in a while but doesn't very often. however i love having a scratch post in my house if anything to keep my mind at ease cause the cat hasn't scratched up anything yet.
