Review Details

Frontline is recommended by veterinarians to help prevent cytauxzoonosis, a disease that is caused by a parasite that is carried by ticks. This disease is common in southern states such as Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, and it is spreading north and east. It is almost always fatal, and currently the only way to prevent it is to protect the cat from ticks.

My vet said there are no products that will repel ticks, but Frontline will kill ticks after they bite, hopefully before they transmit the disease.

I lost a cat to cytauxzoonosis last October, and it was a horrible death. Now all my cats are on Frontline. If you live in an area where cytauxzoonosis occurs, Frontline is the best product to protect outdoor cats.
