I got one of these pans when I inherited a cat from a co-worker. I liked it at first, but the door annoyed my cat so I took it off. It was pretty easy to scoop, but only if I left it unlatched so I could lift off the top easily. That wasn't a big deal, the cats never knocked it off.
They did track a lot of litter when getting out of it, and it was rather bulky. I eventually replaced this one with a box that cats can get into from the top...so my dog wouldn't consider the litterbox her go-to place at snack time!
