We tried this litter for our four cats. It works okay, but there are better cat litters for multiple cat homes. The packaging is really irresponsible. Unless you are a collector of pails, all of this plastic ends up in our landfills and stays there. Plus, if the litter were in a bag, it would store much more easily than this FAT bucket. Opening it up was no picnic either. I had to get a screwdriver. I also wondered if the bucket itself was included in the weight because there didn't seem to be any more litter than in the boxes weighing several pounds less...it didn't last any longer.

I agree. Opening it is a pain if the plastic doesn't zip around as it should. The buckets are fine, but one can only use one or two. So I've switched to a brand with a recyclable container.

Thanks for the comment. I lift weights and was swearing unpleasantries under my breath as I tried to zip it open. I can't imagine how difficult this would be for a more frail individual.
