As a meds volunteer, it is my responsibility to bathe and medicate our paralyzed kitty. Before we started using the peepers diapers, she crawled around in her own urine and had sores on her legs and back end. Her fur stayed yellow instead of white too. The diapers have kept her fur cleaner, so rather than bathing everything, we now bathe her back end only. Her room stays cleaner now too, making it possible for her to get a roommate.
The first few times I put the diapers on her, I had a hard time figuring out how to put it on without hurting her. She crawled out of it once or twice since I didn't have them on tight enough. I have since learned how to handle her and put the diaper on tight enough. Once you get past the learning period, the diapers are such a great help. Peepers are a definite recommendation for paralyzed or incontinent pets.
