Pros: good tines, well placed
Cons: this is a hairbrush, not a gun
My cat tolerates the Slicker Brush longer than others, although I can only brush him for about 30 seconds before he's out the door. I use this most often on my dog. She loves the feel of it, especially under her arms.
As the user of the brush, I like that tines are soft and well placed and make hair collection easy.
I do not like the "ergonomic" handle. It's too fat and it's designed to allow you to grip the brush in one specific way. I don't want to grip the brush in one specific way. I want to let it roll in my hand a little and when I do, that stupid bump gets in the way.
An ergonomic design should be comfortable and easy to use. It should enhance motion, not limit it.
I wish manufacturers would understand that and stop putting rubber-coated pistol grips on everything.
