This works wonders. My cat was getting matted fur and other brushes only got his top coat. This brush gets all the stray hair and cleans up his coat so it does not mat. My cat loves to get brushed also. Keeping him brushed regularly not only helps prevent the matting, but also prevents hair balls. This brush is the best for cats.
