Like most things - you get what you pay for. ArubaCat furniture is very sturdy. It won't rock even when your cat pounces onto the top shelf! It is rugged and durable, and comes in a variety of sizes and colors to match your decor. My cats just love it! Don't waste your money on cheap cat furniture which won't stand up to the wear - I did and was sorely disappointed. I recommend you save up and buy an ArubaCat product instead. Everyone I know who has bought from this manufacturer has been very happy with their purchase.
