I have three cats, so we go through food quick. One day we noticed we were running low and there wasn't enough to give each cat. Well, we had a few sample packs of science diet, and poured it in a small plate next to their bowls, so if they were still hungry they'd have that.
They all actually left their bowls to go to the plate! We've been buying this ever since.
