Salt is suppose to kill fleas out of carpets
Pros: it's cheap
Cons: dogs may chew at your carpet to get to the salt

i've heard of putting salt on your carpets to kill fleas. my only drawback in doing so would be the dogs digging and chewing at the carpet for any leftovers the vacuum missed. if you use a good flea product on your pet, you won't have fleas in your carpets.
