Review Details

I received this toy as a Christmas gift for my cats and it is still entertaining them nearly 3 months later. That is a record for catnip toys in my house. Usually the cats will play with a new catnip toy for only a few days or a week at the most because the catnip smell wears off. Not with this one! The younger boy cat does get possessive of it, but does not get aggressive at all. He just rolls on it so no other cat can play. Sometimes he gets so excited that he runs through the house, so it helps a little indirectly with exercise. With all the wear and tear that the carrot goes through it is still holding up. There is only one real fang puncture mark through the sturdy cloth covering, but it's not big enough for any catnip to come through. That could be because my cats' teeth are not very large, but I think the cloth is pretty darn sturdy and almost self-healing. My cats do neglect every other catnip toy now and prefer this one.
