Pros: cheap!
Cons: fillers and by-products
When my foster cat Charlie, wasn't eating, someone suggested buying a can of "cheap" canned food. I guess crappy, cheap food is really tasty. I bought 1 small can of Giant Eagle brand cat food to try. (Giant Eagle is a local grocery store.) The ingrediens are comparable to Friskies or 9 Lives, so for the price, it is actually a better buy. It has all the same ingredients including the same fillers and by-products as the other "grocery" brands. Charlie didn't eat it at all. I ended up letting my cat, Monkey, eat it. He liked it better than other cheap brands actually. I highly doubt that I'll ever buy this again. I was just looking for something to peek Charlie's interest in eating.
