This book gives the background behind Herriot's books recounting his experiences as a country vet in the Yorkshire dales. We loved his books and the PBS programs so much that we took a "Herriot tour" through Yorkshire, visiting many of the settings used in the program and books.
This book explores the dales and the people and their animals that he loved so much, and brought back fond memories of our tour.
