I adore all of James Herriott's books...really tug at the heart strings and often very educational but in a very entertaining way. If you haven't read all these books, do soon. Great gift idea for the animal lover and for that matter, they are so good, even you're non-animal loving friends, if you have any, would enjoy these books too.
