Chetek River Campground

We used to go here a couple times a summer. There is mini-golf, a pool, canoes to rent, a gameroom, playground for the kids, docks by the river, and it is mostly wooded. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and you pick up after them, and baggies are supplied throughout the campground in case you forget one on a walk.

We stopped going here bc the last time there were so many people that it ruined it. The owners also had a video camera to watch the pool and they were very strict about anything going on in the pool. After they ran out for the third time to nag about something I had had enough. Plus the pool was cold.

This is a nice campground if you have small children bc the playground is pretty big. There isn't much for quieter areas to walk dogs, unless you leave the campground.

Pros: a lot to do, wooded, dogs welcome

Cons: always very busy
