Lakeland Kennel & Grooming

We've been taking four different dogs to Lake Land since 2005, on the recommendations of close friends and their friends who have gone there since it opened. Our dogs have ALL loved being there, both for grooming and boarding. One day our current dog saw one of the owners at a public park, and he just about went crazy with happiness, "kissing" her and snuggling against her legs. If you watch them, dogs' actions can speak louder than their humans' words....

The only service I have used is getting my dog's fuzzy coat shaved. I do NOT like hearing the women who work there "scream & yell!" The dogs are nervous & scared as a result & it just snowballs! These women are obviously burned out & it shows. They are NOT nice to the dogs. If I had to leave a dog anywhere, it would not be here based on my bad impressions. The place is dumpy, run-down & my "gut feeling" tells me that the boarded dogs just get locked up for the duration. No interaction, no soft words, etc. This does not seem like a "happy" place! The women working there are NOT happy people & animals pick up on it. I will be looking elsewhere next time.
