Pleasant Lake Farm

I boarded at Pleasant Lake Farm for a short time and would not recommend this farm to anyone. The owner, Rusty Lanpher was rough with the horses when handling them. He was rude towards boarders and had an explosive temper. In May, another boarder and I were late on board by 1-2 weeks and he made the decision to refuse to feed any of the 9 horses on the farm until all boarders had paid. Before I left in June the quality of hay had dropped drastically and the trainer was scrambling to get all boarders off the farm to safety. I feared for the safety of my horse and my family as well as the safety of other boarders and people on the farm when Rusty was around and started dragging my husband with me to visit my horse. My horse left this farm in poor condition. She lost a large amount of weight between May and June. I feel that Rusty Lanpher is a dangerous man and horrible horseman.

Pros: large pastures, 24/7 barn hours, large arena

Cons: The owner is not a good horseman
