Soluble vs insoluble

The problem with this product for me is that it does contain gravel - I have always used soluble grit - the oyster shells, finely ground, the cuttlebone. It is easily digestible so does not cause intestinal problems. With a product like this - yes it does contain some oyster but the majority of this is the crushed gravel - can you imagine eating crushed gravel and having it dissolve well in your system - the answer would be no.. so you would not eat that - then why give it to your birds. Always look for a soluble grit product for health & safety and you bird will love you for it -
