The Red Cross has had this book out for awhile now and its really a must have for every shelter. The information is understandable by the typical lay person (ie its not veterinary speak), and covers a wide variety of topics.. Also helps in the decision making of when a veterinarian should be contacted.
By the way, the Red Cross also does great training on the subject.
