A long time ago, I read the book "Good Companions" by Erna Zistal, it is a true story about a recently widowed woman, a cat that showed up at her home, a goat , a chipmunk and how these animals helped her heal over a summer. I liked the way she wrote, and identified with these animals and their companionship with her. I ordered the book online when it was already out of print and am so glad that I did. It is truly a wonderful book for those who love all animals.
