Bring your dog, hike and learn something

This is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors with your pet and also learn about early industry in Southern NJ. The mansion is beautiful and worth a tour, though they do not allow pets inside. There is plenty to enjoy outside!

Batsto River - great for dogs to swim

The village of Basto and the surrounding area is a great place for dogs and people. Dogs love the river for swimming and cooling off after a nice hike.
Pros: quiet and peaceful
Cons: River beaches rather than ocean beach
