I had a similar problem when I used Firefox. I use Safari on my iMac now and don't have many problems loading things on Zootoo. A lot of the complaints I have heard - or read - about the site do not seem to be affecting me - videos load relatively quickly, photos even quicker, and all of my journal is posted.
Short answer, sorry for going on, try a different browser.

Zootoo uses a lot of java scripting and applets. I would almost bet you are using Internet Explorer. Try using Netscape or Firefox. IE has trouble handling the java applets zootoo uses with video/photo uploads and the petwar widget.
Watch the bottom left of your screen when playing pet wars and uploading videos and photos and you will see what I mean.
Upoading video/photos you will see:
javascript:void(0)
When highlighting "This pet is cuter" on pet wars you will see the same script notification.
Java is an unstable computer language and IE hates it.
You can download Netscape and Firefox for free at www.download.com
They can handle the java applets and scripting. Leave it to Bill Gates to make things more complicated than need be. :)

When I do my Zootoo, I keep a written tally of all I do for points. One problem I have is with adding photos. Three times last week, Zootoo did not add my points for a photo.
I also find when I delete a photo, I of course lose 15 points, but then when I immediately upload a photo, I do not gain 15 points.

i don't think you are doing anything wrong. I think it is the website.

I disagree with the last answer! I believe the problem is most definitely zootoo most of the time! This morning it is definitely zootoo. I have high speed and a new computer with no clutter and I know how to clean up when that happens! Zootoo definitely has problems with the amount of people on the site and needs to do some site updating. This site is not really very user friendly at all. I am having no speed issues on any other site today -- just zootoo!

The most logical answer is that it is not Zootoo. The two main problems that most folks have at the Zootoo website are uploading videos, and Pet Wars hanging up. I just recently received an email from tech support stating they had experienced problems in the video upload area and had fixed it (which I doubt).
Common problems with most people's computers is that (especially if you are running a Windows machine) things tend to get cluttered on your hard drive. Cleaning things up can be difficult for the average person. They sell small programs that take care of that for you, and there are also websites that have either "shareware" quite cheap, and "freeware," which is naturally free.
It helps if your web browser is the only software running at the time of your Zootoo experience also.
If you want an answer directly from Zootoo tech support, email them through the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page and ask them to "start a ticket" on your specific problems. Tell them about your computer, make, year, memory, and the web browser name, version, etc. They have been good in answering me four times since August.
