Would anyone be interested in adopting a 3yr old dog?

I am looking for a good home for a 3 yr. old dachshund/cocker spaniel mix named Biscuit. He has long brown and black fur. He does have fleas and is being treated. Because of the fleas he has skin allergies and has lost some fur by his tail due to excess itching.. One of his owners is determined to get rid of him just because he is a hateful person. He wants to put him down instead of trying to find a home for him. I told his wife to let me post this before he does anything. There are far too many other alternatives than killing an innocent dog. Because he is protective of his owners he has a tendancy to snap at people. He has never bit anyone though. Due to this he would need alot of extra love to help him trust new people. He probably would not be good right now in a home with children due to his snapping. I am going to try to get a photo of him posted soon. This is an emergency situation. This dog is in serious need of rescuing. If anybody can help me out or know of anyone who can, PLEASE let me know ASAP! I am living in Panama City, FL. Thank you!!
