My dog never chewed on sticks, until we fostered Hunter. Once again my dog learned a behavior from another dog - is it from frustration or is he missing something from her diet?

Most of the dogs around our house and at the shelter like to chew on limbs and all types of wood items. I do not think anything is wrong.

I think dog's just like to chew on wood, and I don't think it's usually harmful. I don't think it's due to any dietary deficiency, but maybe the wood does add some fiber to their diet!

dogs do this all the time. my dog started doing it when she was teething and now i give her a strong chew like merrick's cowabunga roll and it keeps her occupied. give her a replacement for the stick.
