I'm certainly pulling for Butte Humane Society to be in the top 10!!! But, regardless, it will definitely be 10 well deserving shelters!
Can't wait for them to visit us, then the big announcement!! I guess we're kind of lucky that we're the last visit - we only have to wait 2 days on the edge of out seats for the huge news! :)

10 worthy rescues/shelters is all I can say! And then it is up to the others to support them. We certainly hope to be there but if we can't -- some worthy one will be!

We are all keeping our fingers crossed that we make it to the top ten. I console myself by saying that no matter who gets there or who wins the animals will benefit.

Who do I THINK will make it to the top 10..I have no idea. Who do I HOPE will make it to the top 10?..Angel Acres. As much as I support the organizations that take in smaller domestics, I know the incredible need for organizations such as AA working on the behalf of the horses especially those that so cruelly end up in slaughter. It is the most horrific death imaginable for 10's of thousands of horses each year. Without a makeover, organizations such as Angel Acres can only do so much. I am not just talking about giving an animal a home here, I are talking about saving them their life and for that, Angel Acres is on the top of my HOPE list..

Tina, A non-euthanizing shelter, such as ours which I believe you are referring too will have to turn animals away as we cannot create room through euthanasia but by adoption only. Just because someone made a statement that we are not taking animals doesn't make it so. Just because someone wants to deliberately take a statement to the newspaper that we must turn away animals because we lack room and make it that we don't take animals at all which is a deliberate misinterpretation of the facts doesn't make it so.
Fact is, last year we had our largest intake of animals ever and this year we are running at a pace 10 to 15% of last year. So let's put a rest to that fabrication and stop trying to give it legitamacy.
You want to be their friend that's great because she does do rescue and that is commendable, we have chosen to not have her as part of our rescue aa have others and that is all of our choices. Doesn't make us bad and it certainly shouldn't make us a target of such fabrications. If you wish to visit our shelter I will provide you directions to Brooksville Florida and you can make your own INFORMED decision............Dennis

I hope CatNap from the Heart Inc. in La Grange Ill. makes it, they sure need it.

Honestly Jennifer, I don't have a clue but I think there will be a few who are eliminated due to the examination of their facilities and after their financials are looked at. Then, there's another who I think will be eliminated because there is some controvery over them turning animals away and pushing them off on other's simply because they don't want them. Other than, I've not a clue!
So, who do you think is gonna be in the top 10?
