to raise money put fliers up EVERYWHERE for people to come see the place. Do some raffles and prizes. You can easily get some local shops in to donate things. You can also do pony/horse rides. People are out looking for fun things to do with their family that is also helping others and doesn't cost much. Hope this helps some!

Go to your county clerk's office and ask to see the property maps and who owns the adjacent lots to Orphan Acres. Those are who you want to approach about the use of their land if you are looking to expand at your present facility.

If you find any absentee owners where the land looks abandoned, check the tax records. You might be able to pick up the property at this years tax sales. Just be sure to research for liens (or mortgages), those are usually transferred to the new owner automatically by the court.

Where is Orphan Acres? Are there farms in the area that might be willing to work with them? Maybe put up notices at the feed and tack stores.
