There are several myths about service dogs running rapid as the myths about ADA. I was wondering if anyone had heard any of the myths and done their homework concerning the truths on the issues. If so, please respond with the myths and the truths as you know them to be the truth.

Don't know what you mean by myths. One misunderstanding that people have is that if you do have a service dog, then it gives you carte blanche to go to facilities. For instance, according to the ADA you can bring your service animal into a movie theatre. However, if the animal is a nuisance management does have the right to ask you to leave.

We have a Service Dog. He helps with all kinds of stuff.
NTOABLY, he helps me feel secure in places where I may otherwise feel otherwise.

Is this a myth or are you REALLY trying to find out about service dogs? If you are, please be a lil more specific.

We once heard a guy say that his service dog handled all of his phone calls for him . . . but we think that was a myth.

Seriously, service dogs render all sorts of TRUE and VALUABLE services to/for their "masters". I'm sure there are many "myths" out there about this, but then what doesn't draw its share of myths?

Don't know about myths. I've heard misunderstandings, such as people thinking that "no pets" applied to service animals.
