My 4 month old puppy loves to chew. He does not like gravy train or pork.

I think raw hides are not good for your baby, so agree some don't , how about a Chewfah Loofah Bone?

Chewfah Loofah Bones

Fighting Plaque and Dog Breath—the Fun Way!
Great dental hygiene in a fun package for dogs! Toss, chew, tug, or retrieve, the all natural material of our Zanies Chewfah Loofah Toys adds interest while cleaning teeth and gums to keep any pet healthy.

Fun bone shape in two sizes lets every good dog have his play.

Chewfah Loofah Bones are available in the colors and sizes listed below.

•Available in Assorted Colors
•Two sizes available: 6 inch long and 8 inch long

My Happy Customers:

"Sissy was so enthralled with HER package, and now, won’t part with her new yellow bone.

She toted it around the deck. She gnawed on it on the deck. She took it on a rapid tour of the house, and then plopped down on her favorite blankie and chewed on it there. She thought she’d take it for a tour of her yard (it’s all hers, you know), but I stopped that notion, because I know that one deer later and the beloved bone would be dropped, only to have a very sad puppy girl beg me to search for it later tonight, probably in the dark, in the rain, in the woods…"

I have them for a good price $4.00 ( 6 inch) $5.00 (8 inch)

Hope this helps!

I would go with a Kong type chew toy or a nylabone. My dogs love each one.

My dogs and puppy have always like the cow hooves - they hurt when you step on them with bare feet, but they do not bite off chunks like rawhide & other things that my potentially block their intestines.

My pups love rawhide strips and they last for awhile. They come in assorted flavors so you dont have to go with gravy train or pork. Good luck.

I got my dog what I think is called nylabone. It looks like hard plastic but it's not. It's recommended for their teeth. Mine has stopped chewing on everything else as long as she has this bone. It comes on a cardboard with a plactic covering and usually is hanging on a display. I got mine at a drugstore. I believe they also have them at Walmart and they run about $4.00. It sure saves a lot of destruction on other things.

Many dogs like the hard white bones with the filling in it...I am not sure if that would be too hard for their teeth, but if not..every dog I have had loved them...They also liked the bones that seemed plasticky but were completely edible and were flavored..I cant remember what they are called though...

I would get a kong-the kind you can put treats inside-I usually use pbutter and put it in the freezer. check the dog toy isle at Wal Mart or Petco-they have great teething bones too.

My dogs like lots of things, they enjoy shredding paper, but I only give it to them outside, they know they don't shred anything inside. Kong toys are good especially if filled with goodies. Plush toys with squeakers are good but if your dog is big they might eat through them, if that's the case check out mydogtoy.com I've never had good luck with the cheap rubber squeaky toys except with a really small dog. Nylabones are good too, if your dog doesn't seem interested, try letting a bigger dog have some time with the bone to get it 'roughed up' a bit then they seem to like it better.
