Just wondering if there is a proper breed name for a camel with two humps instead of just a camel or if there is a more presise name for it or a sientific name for it?

debra, i believe you're thinking of elephants, where the most notable differences between the African and Indian varieties are overall size and ear shape / size.

I don't know the try scientific names, but I thought one type of camel is found in India and the other type in Africa.

Christine is absolutely right. In fact, I think Bactrian camels are more endangered/threatened than the Dromedaries.

A camel with two humps is called a Bactrian Camel and a camel with one hump is called a Dromedary Camel. :)
