Question

What Breed is my dog?

Details

We adopted Odie about a year ago and we're still not sure what breeds he may have in him. His foster mom told us Border Terrier mix and the vet said Brussel Griffon mix. But I was looking on the web yesterday and looked at the description for Bichon and he kinda looks like a Bichon mix to me. What do you think?

If you really want to know, you can do a blood-test at your vet's office and they can send it to a place that will be able to tell you. New service that is out there now. Kinda cool-huh?

I honestly think he's a little mutt. If I had to put in my two cents, I would say he's a Yorkie/Bichon mix. In my puppy class there was a yorkie mix and your Odie looks very similar.

Odie is so adorable! I don't know what kind of dog, but the fur kind of reminded me of a Yorkshire terrier. The eyes are wider set and reminds me of a Boston Terrier. Enjoy your lil bundle of fluff!

What a cool looking dog! If you really want to know and don't mind spending some money they now make doggie DNA breed testing kits. Two that I found online are the "Canine Heritage Breed Test Kit" for $80 and the other is "Bio Pet Vet Lab" for $60. I always wanted to do it for my dog who is also a mixed breed. We know her mother was a Golden Retriever but I think her father was something much shorter! The only drawback that I could see to the test kits is that they don't cover all breeds so it is possible that you may get results that lists some breeds in your dog's family tree and then has another as unknown.
