Parvo is VERY serious and if you even suspect it even a little bit get your dog to the vet immediately!

If you are concerned about your puppy, you need to take her to the vet right away. Waiting or trying to figure it out on your own could cost your dog its life. Also make sure your dog gets all the vaccinations it needs. If you take the dog out before it has all the vaccinations, you are risking a lot. I always see people with cute little young puppies at the dog park, which freaks me out. There's nothing stopping bad pet owners from bringing their dogs to the park too, so it is always a risk you have to be willing to take.
Even my obedience class requires shot records for all the dogs, but since it is at a school, we don't know what other dogs may have been in the area when we are not there.
I do look up stuff for my dogs ailments, too. But if it seems serious, you should really take it in to get looked at or tested.
I'd check to see if the dog got into anything it wasn't supposed to, like poisonous things, or anything suspicious in your yard that wasn't there before (someone could be poisoning your dog). Also, monitor your dog's appetite and water. If the dog has diarrhea, make sure to have lots of water available as they can get dehydrated, even though they may still have lots of diarrhea.

I just saw a TV show on Parvo and a young pup that had it...He had bloody diarrhea and a "sickly smell". Also lethargy and lack of energy and it just does not look well. He was not eating and drinking . They checked for dehydration by pulling his skin up and seeing how quickly it returned. Parvo is a virus tht is deadly to pups so if you think so Better get that pup to the vets before its to late

Severe vomiting and diarrhea and usually death in 72 hours from dehydration. A dog can live if treated early enough. It's harder on very young or older dogs.

i agree with txchica1187, she's rite about the symptons and everything! but she forgot one aside from smelling sick, losing appietite,not drinking anything,and throwing up with diahrrea, they also lose their hair. If you notice it in an early enough stage, it can sometimes be cured. when I was younger my dog caught parvo and we took her to the vet and they saved her! of course she stayed at the vet until she was cured and we missed her but I'm glad she lived!
