The vet isnt a bad idea if the cat is sickly. I would try some hairball medicine and see if it helps.

As stated earlier, a vet should be consulted. Having worked for a vet for 10 years, I would suspect something like a hairball, or worms. Most likely, a hairball. If you are giving the cat milk, it could be lactose intolerant, and causing stomach upset. Do NOT at any time give your cat TYLENOL for any reason. It will kill them! Even a small dose. Consider some hairball treatment or Cod liver oil. I do the cod liver oil with my cats on a regular basis, and we do not have any hairball issues, and they have Wonderful coats!!!! Another idea, is get some tuna in OIL, drain the oil, (for the cat)and rinse the tuna for you! You both get a fix! Contact a vet though - always want what's best for the kitty!

I agree with clslay, if you are unable to TAKE your cat to the vet, at least call them and describe the cats behaviour.

First you need to see a vet with you cat. Something has to have come about as this is not normal behaviour. It could be anything from hairballs to kidney issues. I am not a vet nor are most zootooer's. They I feel would all advise you need to see a vet ASAP. Cats can become dehydrated quickly which in turn can lead to their demise. I feel this is a serious issue. Hopefully not. Most cats and dogs will walk backwards when they throw up. Its nature's way of helping them extract the vomitis. Don't mean to sound harsh here, it is just something that needs to be tended to or I fear for your furbaby. (Cat) It could even be possible he/she got into some poision, be it anitfreeze, ant bait, mice poision anything. Time in this issue is of the essence. I send my best wishes and good thoughts to you and your cat. ( furbaby) please write an update for us to know how its going.

Have you seen any hairballs? If he continues he needs to go to the vet.
