Has anyone ever received help in this way, or know someone who has? What a great way to help people especially those who lost someone in the recent plane crash in N.Y.

Yes, a friend of mine is a speech pathologist and she used her small dog in lots of sessions with little kids and said it really helped them have fun and progress faster.
