My dog is a little Sato from Puerto Rico. She is mixed breeds and has the strangest fur. Very long coarse wire like hair. It gets oily fairly quickly after her baths. (within a few days) She also gets a funky smell when this happens - Any advice on how to keep her smelling better longer?

Do you use a conditioner when you bathe your dog? That makes the fur oily. You might want to consider having your dog groomed. When my dog (Wick) comes home after being groomed, he smells great for weeks.
