My pup likes to snuggle under the covers at night but I worry that he wont be able to breath under there. Should I try to stop him from doing this?

I'm sure if she were having trouble breathing she would come out!! No worries!!

My 14 year old Minny Pinny has slept under the cover for her entire life, no problems! She even sleeps under the blanket in her crate when she is in there on a trip.

It makes them feel close to you and secure. If he wants to get out, he will find a way, aAnd if he is struggling you will know it and you can help him. GO FOR IT. Let the little fella go, he`s happy.

If he likes it and you know he isn't having any trouble breathing then I would let him continue. If it is something that makes you really nervous maybe he could have his own smal blanket or sheet so you know he isn't getting trapped under your covers.

not if he is happy. Nuggle on. I have a friend who has 4 small dogs under the covers. most dogs get too hot but if you have one who likes go for it.

My min pins are very much snuggle bunnies. If I can't find them I look under my covers. The ones that sleep in their crates at night have an extra plush fleece blanky in there and every one of them sleep under their covers. You shouldn't have a problem with them sleeping like that if he couldn't breath he would surely come out from under there. Also, if they get a little too warm they will surface. So have no fear!!! He will be fine.

Terriers are notorious for 'hiding' under the covers....My Jack Russell will hide under any blanket he can find....I think it's a security thing for them, but if they get hot, they will get up and go elsewhere also...

I would not worry to much, when he's had enough he will move. My toy fox terriers love love to " burrow " under there blankies, even in the summer when the ac is on they want a fluffy blanket to hide underand nap

My dog and cats love to be under the blankets. I think the same thing. They must be suffocating under there.
Whenever I am laying on the couch with a blanket, Sage (cat) will find the opening and curl up behind legs and over my legs. When he gets hot, he jumps down. He is the biggest one for wanting to be under the covers.
