Rabbit is Just Too Shy

Urgency:Just Curious

My 3 1/2 year old unneutered bunny, Heidi, is way too shy. I've tried to socialize him, give him lots of love and attention, everything! But to no avail. His twin brothers is the sweetest, most caring, cutest cuddlebug in the world; he's a social butterfly! both rabbits are not neutered; the nice one is submissive and the shy one is extremely dominant. He sprays a little which is bothersome, but I'm too scared to have him neutered (what if I lose my best dudes to anesthesia overdose?). So, should I have him neutered? If or if not, how can I break him out of his shell?
THANK YOU

rabbits, just like people and other pets, have different personalities... your bunny may always be a little shy. You can continue to work with him and socialize him with other rabbits to help bring him out of his shell. Rabbits also enjoy interactive play and treat rewarding systems. You could try that. Neutering is important because it will make him less aggressive in the long run, more open to socialize, and also guarantee 0 chance of unplanned pregnancies.
